Problem & business
Bagaran is RoadCorp's in-house agency. It builds every internal RoadCorp project, and it takes client work too: websites and writing for Armenian businesses, helping customers in Armenia and abroad understand an offer and take the next step.
Its goal is to cover a business's needs holistically, both in scope and in spirit. No upsells, no overcharging, no unnecessary tension, no short contracts and no lazy work. Instead: long-term partnerships, mutual benefit and honest cooperation.
The site has to say all of that, explain the services for tourism, export and the diaspora, show the work, and turn a visitor into a visibility audit request, in English and Armenian.
Design
Cut-corner panels on warm paper in light mode; obsidian and graphite with brass lines in dark mode. Cormorant Garamond for display, Source Sans 3 for reading, Space Mono for details, and self-hosted Noto Serif and Noto Sans Armenian for the Armenian pages.
The signature piece is the Octagon Reveal menu: an accessible tab pattern that still works without JavaScript and respects forced colours and reduced motion. On desktop, the sections open like book panels from the sides.
Engineering
Next.js and Payload CMS on Neon Postgres, with email through Resend. The audit intake treats every lead as its own outbox: one sender works at a time, deliveries are idempotent, failures retry on a schedule, and anything that still can't be sent is set aside for a person.
Quality is enforced rather than hoped for: Lighthouse budgets, axe accessibility tests and visual snapshots across both languages, both themes and desktop and phone, plus weekly dependency scans. The home page went from a 1,820-line client page to 46 lines of per-language loaders over one shared component and a typed data registry, and dropped its animation library along the way.
Outcome
Bagaran is the agency behind the RoadCorp sites in this portfolio, and its own site now carries its philosophy and its offer in two languages, with an intake built so that no lead gets lost.
